The Training of Trainers (ToT) Summer School of the international „Trainer´s Network for Civil Sector Sustainability and Development“ program took place from September 22nd to October 3rd, 2014 at a farm outdoor training facility in Výštice in southern Bohemia (http://www.statekvystice.cz/).
The atmosphere of this unique training was determined by the selection of the specific training environment “in the middle of nowhere”. The training goals primarily focused on skills, attitudes and networking development. We paid much attention to self-discovery and self-reflection in the context of training and consulting for civil society sustainability, for we believe that these are key to continuous learning which is indispensable for any good trainer and consultant. Interactive workshops, simulation games, creative activities, facilitated discussions, open space conferences, outdoor action and much more filled the curriculum from 9 am to 9 pm every day.
Aside from introducing the wide array of training methods and techniques, participants had the opportunity to share their experience and training practice and test new ideas and approaches through hands-on application followed by in-depth feed back and debriefing. We are hopeful that this extensive training experience has sparked friendships to last way beyond the scope of practical knowledge and lessons learned.
And THAT´S THE POINT!
This was a true beginning of a diverse and cooperating network of training and consulting professionals serving civic sector sustainability in the CEE region.
And how looks the TOT Summer School 2014?
