International Advisory Board

It was established on the occasion of the 3rd International Fundraising Festival in April 2011. Its members are experts and prominent figures in the field of civil society development and its financing.

International Advisory Board

  • Supports the mission and development of the Czech Fundraising Center.
  • Helps to set up programs and projects so that they are as effective and useful as possible for a given country or region.
  • Co-creates and provides feedback in the creation of CFC development strategies.
  • Mediates new opportunities for the implementation of development programs, especially in the region of Central and Eastern Europe.
  • It recommends key experts and organizations to collaborate on individual programs.

Kay Sprinkel Grace

Kay Sprinkel Grace, CFRE, is a San Francisco-based organizational consultant, providing workshops and consultation to local, regional, national and international organizations in strategic development planning, case and board development, staff development, and other issues related to leadership of the fund raising process. Jolan van Herwaarden

Almost twenty years ago Jolan joined the Dutch Aids Fonds as an activist/volunteer in response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Amsterdam. Soon she was organising large fundraising events such as Walk for Life and World Aids Day on a national level. After six years she moved on to a Women’s Rights organisation as their first professional fundraiser, became Head of Fundraising and Communication for an international development agency and set up the Major Donor programme for a large Cancer Society. Twelve years ago, Jolan move from the Netherlands to the United Kingdom and matured into an international fundraiser. She has been the manager of the Session leaders at the International Fundraising Congress in Holland for the last fourteen years. Jolan has a large network of international contacts and shares experiences with fundraisers from all over the world. After many years in the field Jolan, as no other is able to apply her knowledge into training and coaching for a new generation of fundraisers. She is an engaging journalist and speaker at international conferences and gatherings for fundraisers and activists. She has actively worked in Central and Eastern Europe for the last four years. In 2012 Jolan was the lead trainer in a EuropAid funded project with the Resource Alliance in London and PDCS in Bratislava, Slovakia with participants from Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Hungary. Her presentations and trainings were hugely popular at conferences and workshops in Bratislava, Prague and Budapest and Jolan has supported NGO’s in the region in Major Donor Fundraising and Corporate Sponsorships.

Tony Myers, PhD., M.A., LL.B., CFRE

Founder of a Canadian-based international consulting firm Myers & Associates, former board member of CFRE International, a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, a founding Board member of three Foundations, a former Board member of the AFP Canada Council, a former Board member of the Calgary chapter of AFP, a former member of the AFP International Research Council and a member of the International Advisory Board of the Czech Fundraising Centre. Tony is internationally recognized for his expertise in major donor fundraising and major campaign development. His consultancy provides services to clients across Canada and internationally. Myers & Associates specializes in in major gift fundraising, capital campaigns, strategic planning, board development and organizational reviews with an emphasis on crafting sustainable development plans. Tony has written articles for Canadian Fundraiser, local fundraising publications, has recently completed a chapter for two books, “Excellence in Fundraising in Canada” and “Fundraising Feasibility Studies” and in 2012 published “(me)volution” a book he wrote with Jon Duschinsky on Philanthropy. He is now working on his second book. Tony’s strength is in strategy and performance. His experience in developing sustainable fundraising plans has met with real success for small and large organizations. He draws from his experience in setting up three charitable foundations across Canada, and his work in major donor fundraising and major capital campaigns. Tony is sought after as a speaker for conferences around the world on numerous topics related to his work. In 2014, the Calgary Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals recognized Tony as the “Outstanding Fundraising Professional” a recognition given annual to those who has consistently provided exceptional service and leadership to the profession. Passion, enthusiasm, commitment, experience and knowledge … these are the things Tony brings to his work every day. His mission is to help others be successful. His vision is for a world inspired by philanthropy. And he is the first to tell you that he loves his job. He loves to raise money and teach others how to do the same.

Robert Osborne

Robert is a Vice President of The Osborne Group. He has 17 years of experience in NGO management and fundraising and has expertise in major gift fundraising, annual fundraising, opinion research, fundraising communications, board and volunteer management, and marketing. Robert works with NGOs of all sizes but especially enjoys working with smaller NGOs helping them to build sophisticated fundraising operations. Robert is known internationally and has worked with NGOs globally.He is a well-known and sought after speaker and workshop leader. In addition to serving on the International Advisory Board of the Czech Fundraising Centre, Robert serves of the Board of Directors of CitySquash in New York City. He is an avid squash player.
